So, how did I feel about the presentation? I felt like we did really well; we worked to get it done. So I picked
CHRONEMICS and UNCERTAINTY AVOIDANCE I actually did not know what chronemies was, but I had learned that chronemies is an anthropological, philosophical, and linguistic subdiscipline that describes how time is perceived, coded, and communicated across a given culture. It is one of several subcategories to emerge from the study of nonverbal communication, like when you wait a bit before answering a question or how long we think it is okay to wait before returning a phone call. and Uncertainty Avoidance I had never heard the word before, but I learned that it means Uncertainty avoidance refers to how a culture deals with uncertainty and anxiety. People within society tend to react in the way that their culture influences them to. If a culture is open and accepting, citizens will be more likely to make decisions that are risky and uncertain. for example, the extent to which the culture's members feel threatened by uncertain, unknown situations or embrace these situations. I felt like me and my group were talking about things that were happening now, like race and culture and how every culture has its own values and how
Today, the term "race" has become problematic; however, some people prefer the term "population" away from it.
We talked about religion and how
Islam is also the fastest-growing religion worldwide. According to the Pew Research Center, about 23 percent (1.6 billion people) of the world's population is Muslim. I'm a very religious person, so I'm glad we have religion in our work.
We also talked about altruism. I had no idea what this meant; I had never even heard this word before, but what I had learned from my classmate is that
Altruism is the principle and practice of concern for the well-being and/or happiness of other humans or animals above oneself. While the objects of altruistic concern vary, it is an important moral value in many cultures and religions. It may be considered a synonym for selflessness, the opposite of selfishness.

DISABILITY This was the one I was excited about because I have a disability. At a young age, I was diagnosed with asthma, which is a condition in which a person's airways become inflamed, narrow, and swollen and produce extra mucus, which makes it difficult to breathe. But at this age, I had severe asthma, which is a type of asthma that is difficult to control, even with high doses of medication. It is the most serious type of asthma and can be life-threatening. Severe asthma affects 5–10% of people with asthma. And as I got older, it got worse. After going back and forth to the hospital, I was diagnosed with chronic severe asthma, which is a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways that is the most serious and life-threatening type of asthma. It affects about 5–10% of people with asthma. It has gotten so bad that I have had a had a flat line three times. I'm 19 now, and I still have chronic, severe asthma. And I was diagnosed with non-epilepsy a while ago; it all started after I took the COVID vaccine.
Me and my class mates work together so well
