Daniella Liscano Reflection #1

How to be Successful in SPC1017 as a Student      After watching and presenting the 3 PowerPoints, I learned many good things, and I was also able to determine things in which we could improve individually, as a group, and as a class. The first presentation was presented by group 3, and they had group leadership and problem solving. I believe they did an amazing job. You can tell that they put in the work as a group because they all did amazing. They were able to transition from speaker to speaker in a very organized and smooth way; they also didn't read straight from the PowerPoint, and they studied what they would say and showed that they knew the information they were talking about. In each group, there are three task roles: givers, seekers, and analyzers, and everyone in a group falls into one of those roles. Having those roles helps the group work together and become one. Tailynn did an amazing job explaining and showing the presentation. She was able to demonstrate ...

The first words I can say is that I learned with my group first about what teamwork and group communication are. Together with my team, we got to work from the beginning. We divided the work we had to do for our presentation. Initially, we chose three topics per person, which we would later present in our class. For my part, I chose my three topics which were religion, native languages, and intercultural empathy. The main topic of our presentation with my group was culture and communication. Some of the topics that were available, which the members of my group chose were race, ethnicity, sex and gender, etc. Then the leader of our group opened a Google file so that we could individually make our presentations on the topics we had chosen. A couple of days before the presentation we met for a Zoom meeting. The main point of this meeting was to agree and organize ourselves according to the order and time that we had to follow when making our presentation on class day in...

In the Introduction to Communication class, my classmates and I organized ourselves to make a power point presentation and even a presentation on certain topics that our teacher Sherri Sinkoff gave us to choose from. The university platform had a series of documents within its modules that were going to help us, based on the assigned chapter, to be able to define what each person in our group would do and how the topics would be carried out by everyone made up of it. I belong to group number one, therefore we had to be more than ready since at the time we thought that we could be the first to appear before the class with all the audiovisual materials. We all got to work, and everyone did their part to make a great presentation.   In each presentation of each group, not only topics referring to chapters that have to do with the content of the subject were explained, but also arguments that helped to understand it, so that the person who did not belong to that presentation c...

I learned so much from group 3’s presentation about ‘Group Leadership and Problem Solving’. It was so fascinating to hear everyone talk about it. What I really like from group 3’s presentation is how important it is to identify, define and analyze the problem. Usually, us as humans, we don’t always analyze the problem right away, and in this section of the presentation it taught me how I always have to analyze the problem. It’s important to understand the problems before solving them. It gives you a minute to think it over. By not thinking straight and having a solid foundation with problem solving you risk wasting resources and delaying solutions. And that causes more stressful situations to arise. And another thing I loved listening to in group 3’s presentation is when communication was discussed. And how valuable communication is to everything, including relationships, family, friends, in a job setting, everywhere really. Communication within a group is fantastic, because it i...

Blog Reflection blog post # 1 To begin I would to say that all everyone was well spoken  group 3 presentation was very clear  and group one was very informative and knew what they were talking about with ways of communication also group 2 was interesting with how they combated and how 2 people did a detention or slide together and also how everyone worked together the most interesting thing about this project is how ironic it is it’s informing you but also showing you real life example as well for example when the 2 nd group was explaining the different types of groups and group norms and also group 3 presentation was beautiful and long    their personalities all collide d so beautifully I think every group have a unique vibe but overall group 2 was the most interesting in my opinion. This whole topic of social structures and ways of communicating is so important so I think it’s interesting that we do these things and never question really should look deeper into i...

Blog Reflection #1 Hi everyone! I'm excited to consider the constructive aspects of our recent group presentation, which was a collaborative project that not only showed our unique talents but also demonstrated the strength of teamwork, creativity, and communication. As an essential member of an engaging group effort. Each member of our crew offered their special talents, viewpoints, and areas of experience to ensure an impeccable presentation that was educational and entertaining, from careful preparation to successful delivery. Our group presentation is based on a solid foundation of in-depth study and wide understanding of the subject. To make sure that our information was competent, important, and trustworthy, each member dedicated a significant amount of time and energy to investigating different perspectives, diving into the depths of communication, and synthesizing important discoveries. Our research efforts revealed an abundance of information that enhanced the wide range o...

Welcome to SPC1017, or rather Introduction to Communication. Today I will be reviewing the group projects that groups o ne, two, and three presented o n May 15 th and to give you my opinions on each group presentation.        The group that started first was Group T hree and they presented Group Leadership and Problem Solving. The members of the group included Tailynn Lorenz, Zainab Awale, Nicholas Mejia, Nickolas Novoa, Michael Consuegra, Monica Zambrano, P aulette Landivar, and Vickiana Nazario. Their presentation started off with an introduction by Regina Mason, the class leader of SCP1017 . The Introduction brought the audience a general i dea about the topic before they went into detail on them . Then they started off with leadership, Task Roles, and Maintenance Roles. I like how simple/easy they mad e it for the audience to understand. I liked how the presenter gave the audience good in - depth details and personal examples about each topic an...
