I  would like to say the PowerPoint was very amazing and detailed i love the groups expressed themselves the first group the second group was interesting because they were very informative, i thought my groups disscusion on certain learning disabilities was interesting because of the fact that i see these behaviors in people in my everyday life its like putting on glasses that no one can see, i love how group one honestly worked together as well as the brocher and how put together it was i love it, on to group 2 group 2’s project was phenomenally well done i honestly loved their group. group 3 was so informative group 3 has always been vocal love that but most importantly  Trying to comprehend and relate to the experiences and viewpoints of people from different cultures is one way to show empathy. Group 2: Everyone in Group 2 did an excellent job of describing each and every slide throughout their once-again educational presentation! Group 3's discussion on autism was...

reflection #2 Group 3: This presentation from group 3 was very well described and everyone talked and elaborate very well in their different ways. The presentation itself was so creative and I loved the images and descriptions in each slide. It was very informative and easy to read and digest. What I learned about group 3’s presentation is the history of anxiety , and I found it so fascinating to learn about it. I never knew that anxiety in the 1600s it was called a melancholia condition, then fast forward to the 1700s it was called “panophobia” and scientists realized anxiety symptoms can have categories, and then in the 1950s the first manual published and it was called “Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders”. I feel like a lot of people don’t take people with anxiety, and I have anxiety. I have panic attacks and I stick by this statement of some people not taking me seriously and that I’m being dramatic. And I loved learning about the different forms of anxiety...

Hi everyone!!!!   2    Welcome to blog #2. In today’s blog I will be giving another reflection about me and my classmates groups presentation I’d like to share the experience my classmates and I journey on preparing and delivering our recent project. This experience was not just about presenting information; it was about collaboration, learning. Overcoming any challenges together. From the initial planning stages to the final delivery, our group navigated the complexities of teamwork, research, and public speaking. Join me as I reflect on our process, the highs and lows we encountered, and the invaluable lessons we learned along the way.               The backstory to this assignment is that each group was assigned a certain topic. Each group had to complete a PowerPoint linked to the topic to one of the themes. Everyone came together and was responsible for gathering information about several common mental health disabilities. Fo...

Learning about our societies disabilities     The first group to present was group 3, they had chapter 4, 11, 12, 13, & 14 for the study guide. They had a really good layout for their study guide, they all gave good summaries on what the chapters were about and they also separated it by even small chapters instead of doing one chapter per person they took the time to divide it evenly with everyone in the group. As for their presentation they had Anxiety. The most important thing i learned is Anxiety is a mental health disorder categorized by the feeling of fear and uneasiness. Anxiety has been around for a long time since the 1600s but it took doctors a long time to discover anxiety and understand what it was. People have different understandings and opinions about anxiety, there are a lot of cultures in which believe that anxiety isn't real, and there are also others who have anxiety in which practice yoga and drink tea to help them when they get anxious. There are...

First of all, I would like to start this second blog by thanking my colleagues for the hard work we put into our presentation as well as our agenda and our study guide. Our topic was about specific learning disabilities, the first topic in our presentation was about dyslexia, a disease known to be highly known and unfortunately common in many parts of the world. As a definition of dyslexia, we could say that dyslexia is a learning difficulty that primarily affects the skills involved in accurate and fluent word reading and spelling. Characteristic features of dyslexia are difficulties in phonological awareness, verbal memory, and verbal processing speed. Although I could not be present on the day of our presentation due to an unexpected family problem, I was able to watch the recording of the class to appreciate the good job my group did when presenting on our topic.       As a second topic, my group presented what dysgraphia is, this disease affe...

I think that all the groups did really well. I learned so much more about my group and the others. One group was talking about anxiety. And I was diagnosed a long time ago with anxiety. And my anxiety would cause my asthma attack to start. That really stuck out to me because it is so common nowadays because so many people have bad anxiety or depression, and most people are not wanting to seek help, so I was very glad that they were saying to talk to a therapist or to get help. I think that most people think that if they talk to a therapist or a psychiatrist, they are crazy, or people might call them crazy. This is not the case; most people just can’t handle as much stress as other people, and most people think that when someone is going through something traumatic to them, they are being dramatic. Anxiety has a lot of triggers. Anxieties can be caused by a lot of things. Anxiety has a lot of different categories. I didn’t know that OCD was part of anxiety. I guess that makes sense...
